Help us offer hope, comfort and healing to children in the community and around the world by bringing your Love to the rescue.

Every gift to Shriners Hospitals for Children — Boston is gratefully accepted and acknowledged. There are many ways to give to the hospital, which allow donors to contribute in a way that is meaningful and personal to them. The hospital works hard to make sure all gifts are used in the most efficient and effective manner. Being good stewards of our financial resources is important both for providing the best patient care today and for making sure we are able to continue our mission into the future.

Direct donations

Credit cards

Credit card donations can be made online or processed by the development office over the phone by calling Carolyn Wahto at 617-371-4807. If you would like your gift to benefit the Shriners Hospitals for Children — Boston, please select the Boston hospital when you donate online.

Memorials or tribute gifts

Memorial or tribute gifts are gratefully received by the hospital for the benefit of our programs. Donors receive acknowledgement letters for their gifts. Notification letters are also mailed to honorees or the designated family member, informing them of gifts made in their honor or in memory of a loved one. Notification letters provide name and address information only. To establish a memorial or tribute gift, please contact the donor development office at 617-371-4941.


Gifts of stock or electronic cash transfers are coordinated with the development office in partnership with individuals and their financial institutions. For additional information and instructions, please contact Carolyn Wahto in the development office via email.

Major and planned giving

Major and planned gifts are meaningful ways that individuals can advance programs and services of the hospital for the benefit of children. Careful planning and consideration is given to all such gifts in consultation with donors, their families and legal or wealth advisors to ensure that the donor’s wishes are met. Naming and recognition opportunities are available. For information on estates and trusts, beneficiary designations, and financial accounts and insurance, wills and real estate, please contact Carolyn Wahto in the development office via email.

Corporate matching gifts

Many companies have programs through which they will match or even double the charitable donations made by their employees. Please ask your human resources department for the proper paperwork to share this benefit with the children who receive our critical services.

Fundraisers and special events

Many people host events to benefit Shriners Hospitals for Children — Boston each year. You can organize an event in your community or at your school. Fundraisers and special events are wonderful ways to support the hospital and may be organized by individuals, groups or businesses.
