Holiday donation days provide unique opportunity for donors

After the success of last year's holiday donation days, Shriners Hospitals for Children — Philadelphia is thrilled to announce that we'll be hosting our designated holiday donation days again this December. The holidays are one of the busiest times in the hospital and also the most popular time for donating. In order to allow every donor the chance to meet the patients they are so graciously giving to, and to show our gratitude at this time of giving, we are hosting two holiday donation drop off days in our lobby.

Saturday, December 15 from 9 a.m. to noon
Wednesday, December 19 from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m.

If you wish to make a donation during the holiday season, please email Joy Young or call 215-430-4206 to indicate which drop off date you would like to attend.

Please note that donors are able to drop off donations at any time in our lobby. These specific days are simply for those who wish to celebrate their contribution along with hospital staff.

If you would prefer to mail your donations, our address is:

Shriners Hospitals for Children — Philadelphia

Child Life / Recreational Therapy
3551 N. Broad Street
Philadelphia PA 19140

Please be sure to include your name and contact information with your donation so we know who to thank!

Donation guidelines

In a hospital setting, safety and infection prevention are of utmost importance. To support the health and well-being of our patients, please keep the following guidelines in mind when donating:

  • All items must be NEW, store bought and in their original packaging
  • We cannot accept any used or “previously loved” items
  • We cannot accept items that have been stored for an extended period of time, are no longer clean/fresh, or have a strong odor (perfume, cigarette, etc.)
  • Please do not gift wrap your donations

While you're welcome to donate anything you think our patients would appreciate, we have curated a wish list, as well as some of the most frequently used items.

For specific items on the hospital’s wish list, please email Mary Ann Roberto or call 215-430-4198.
