Brook Holter, PA-C, is a physician assistant at Shriners Hospitals for Children — Portland. She received her physician assistant training at Oregon Health Sciences University, graduating in 2001. Prior to that, she was a Chief Corpsman in the United States Navy where she worked in a variety of medical departments, finishing her career as an independent duty technician at an isolated medical clinic where she was the senior medical department representative. Returning home to Portland, she completed her degree in physician assistant studies and began work in the orthopaedic and rehabilitation department at OHSU. She then enjoyed working in a private practice general orthopedic clinic with a special interest in spine. Her patient population ranged from toddlers to geriatrics. She is board certified with the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants and is licensed by the Oregon Medical Board. She is a member of the American Academy of Physician Assistants, and the Oregon Society of Physician Assistants. She has enjoyed working at Shriners Hospitals for Children since early 2015.

She enjoys being outdoors, going to the gym, cooking, reading and traveling. She has one grown child, one dog and two cats. She hopes to stay at Shriners Hospitals for Children until retirement.
