Support Shriners Hospitals for Children — Salt Lake City through financial donations, grants, in-kind gifts, services and charitable donations.

With the evolving nature of the COVID-19 pandemic, we are closely monitoring updates and following state and federal recommendations to ensure our patients and family members are protected.

In-kind gifts

Dolls, action figures and remote control cars are more than just playthings at Shriners Hospitals for Children — Salt Lake City. They are a prescription for joy. Toys have been shown to alleviate the symptoms of anxiety, boredom and even pain. Your gifts are greatly appreciated and welcomed year round. Our ideal drop off time is Monday through Friday from 10 a.m. until 4 p.m. Please call ahead if you have a large donation (100+ items) that might require help from our staff.

We cannot accept:

  • Used gifts: Due to strict infection control precautions, we can only accept new gifts.
  • Our hospital is latex free. Items such as rubber balloons, koosh balls, rubber stamps, rubber balls and rubber erasers are not accepted. Mylar balloons and vinyl items are encouraged.
  • During the COVID-19 pandemic, we cannot accept stuffed animals.

Helpful information

Patient privacy regulations (HIPAA) prevent us from allowing donors to personally distribute toys to children. Thank you for your understanding.

We can accept

  • Gift cards (Target, Wal-Mart, Michaels, iTunes, pre-paid VISA cards)
  • Dolls (Disney princesses, Barbie Dolls)
  • Play-Doh and Play-Doh kits
  • Toy cars and trucks (various types and sizes, i.e. hot wheels or remote control)
  • Coloring books, colored pencils, markers (8 packs), crayons
  • Action figures
  • Legos
  • Toys for infants/toddlers
  • Video games for (X-Box 360 or Wii)
  • New release DVDs (within the last two years)
