Amy Shuckra, D.P.T.

Amy Shuckra, D.P.T.

Amy Shuckra, PT, D.P.T., PCS, is a board-certified pediatric clinical specialist who has brought her expertise in outcome measures related to rehabilitation and surgery to the motion analysis center at Shriners Hospitals for Children — Salt Lake City, since 2003. She received her Master of Science degree in physical therapy from Duquesne University Transitional Doctor of Physical Therapy program, University of Utah and has her pediatric certified specialist (PCS) certification from the American Physical Therapy Association (APTA).

Highly educated in the field of physical therapy, her previous work experience includes pediatric inpatient, outpatient and early intervention settings treating a variety of neuromuscular and orthopaedic conditions.

Her specific areas of interest include gait analysis, orthopaedic surgical outcomes and evidenced-based physical therapy interventions. She is routinely involved in training physical therapists on foot modeling in the gait analysis community. She is currently serving on the Shriners Movement Analysis Lab Network Committee. Her favorite part of the job is seeing kids’ excitement about their improvement after surgery.

Outside of work, she enjoys spending time with her husband and her two boys, skiing, biking and cooking.
