Eileen Csontos, M.D.

Eileen Csontos, M.D., is an anesthesiologist at Shriners Hospitals for Children — Salt Lake City and a clinical associate professor at the University of Utah. She received her medical degree from the Medical College of Wisconsin, completed her residency in anesthesiology at the University of Utah and received obstetric and pediatric anesthesiology subspecialty training at the Baylor School of Medicine.

Besides telling obscure stories to patients going under general anesthesia to distract them, Dr. Csontos has an interest and a passion for improving the lives of patients dealing with complex and/or chronic pain issues. She has over 20 years of experience and continues to actively expand her knowledge in the much-needed area of chronic pain.

Before adopting two children of her own, she enjoyed traveling and volunteering extensively in over 24 trips with several organizations, while educating residents and international colleagues. When Dr. Csontos is not at the Salt Lake City Shriners Hospital, you can find her hiking in the mountains, perfecting a new curry dish, carting her children around or on a yoga mat.
