Jennifer Wagner, M.D.

Jennifer W. Wagner, M.D., is a pediatric anesthesiologist at Shriners Hospitals for Children — Salt Lake City and an adjunct assistant clinical professor of anesthesiology at the University of Utah. Dr. Wagner received her undergraduate degree in biological sciences from Clemson University, where she played Division I soccer. She received a master's in physiology and her medical degree from the University of Arizona.

Dr. Wagner completed her anesthesiology residency at Stanford University. Prior to beginning her anesthesia training, she also completed two years of a pediatric residency at Stanford University. She then completed her pediatric anesthesia fellowship at Stanford University, where she was the endowed clinical fellow.

Following her fellowship, she remained on faculty at Stanford Children’s Health Lucile Packard Children’s Hospital. She served as a member of the fellowship committee, resident selection committee and assistant director of the combined pediatric-anesthesia residency program. Dr. Wagner also was part of the pediatric anesthesia regional team and neuro-anesthesia team.

During Dr. Wagner's time at Stanford, she developed a love for pediatric orthopaedics and pediatric regional anesthesia. She served as the lead anesthesiologist for several pediatric orthopaedic surgical mission trips to Central America. After relocating to Utah, Shriners Hospitals for Children became the ideal place for her to practice.

When not at work, Dr. Wagner can be found trail running, skiing, hiking and enjoying the outdoors. She also spends a great deal of time on the sidelines of her daughters’ soccer and lacrosse games, track meets and ski races.
