Shaun Mendenhall, M.D.

Shaun Mendenhall, M.D., is a plastic surgeon specializing in hand and complex nerve surgery at Shriners Hospitals for Children — Salt Lake City. He received his medical degree from the University of Utah, his residency in plastic and reconstructive surgery at Southern Illinois University School of Medicine, and his fellowship in orthopaedic hand and microvascular surgery at the University of Pennsylvania, Perelman School of Medicine.

His practice focuses on comprehensive hand and wrist surgery after trauma, congenital differences, tumors and degenerative processes such as arthritis. Dr. Mendenhall also performs complex peripheral nerve surgery on the upper and lower extremities, including the brachial plexus. He performs reconstructive microsurgery for upper or lower extremities, including free tissue transfer, free functional muscle transfers and vascularized bone transfers.

When Dr. Mendenhall is not working he enjoys spending time with his wife and three children, playing the drums and exploring the outdoors of Utah.
