The staff at Shriners Hospitals for Children — Salt Lake City recognizes the challenges families may face when caring for children with complex orthopaedic conditions, such as osteogenesis imperfecta (OI), also known as brittle bone disease. Appointments at our OI clinic provide a unique and convenient experience. In one day and at one location, your child can meet with a multidisciplinary team of pediatric specialists providing compassionate, comprehensive care.

We recommend the quarterly osteogenesis imperfecta clinic for all patients with OI. Our comprehensive list of services provided during the clinic include:

  • Orthopaedic care
  • Spine care
  • Care management
  • Nutrition service
  • Genetics consultation
  • Developmental pediatric consultation

We also provide access to therapy services, including physical, occupational and speech therapy, and wheelchair services.
