Christina Kim, M.D., FAAP

Christina Kim, M.D., FAAP

Christina Kim, M.D., FAAP, is a consulting pediatric urologist at Shriners Hospitals for Children — Springfield. She is board certified in urology and pediatric urology.

Dr. Kim attended the University of Wisconsin-Madison, where she received her Bachelor of Science degree and medical degree. She completed her residency training in surgery and urology at the University of Connecticut and her fellowship training in pediatric urology at the University of Pittsburgh.

Dr. Kim provides comprehensive pediatric urology care and has particular interest in performing advanced laparoscopic and robotic surgery. In 2005, she was the first surgeon to perform pediatric robotic surgery in Connecticut. Due to her expertise, she leads teaching programs on minimally invasive surgery (MIS), both nationally and internationally. She firmly believes in the benefits of faster recovery and desirable cosmesis seen with MIS. She performs a wide array of robotic cases (ureteral reimplantation, pyeloplasty, partial nephrectomy, calyceal diverticulectomy, bladder augmentation and creation of catheterizable channels).

Dr. Kim is a diplomate of and holds sub-specialty certification in pediatric urology. She is a fellow of the American Academy of Pediatrics and is a member of the American Urological Association and the Society of Pediatric Urology.
