The Springfield Shriners Hospital submitted its Phase 1 attestation on May 29, 2020, its Phase 2 attestation on June 9, 2020, and its Phase 3 attestation on July 8, 2020.

Rene Rose Mackechnie, RN, BSN, is the clinical nurse supervisor in the outpatient department at Shriners Hospitals for Children — Springfield.  Rene graduated from Anna Maria College in Paxton, Massachusetts. with a Bachelor of Science degree in nursing. She has more than 25 years’ experience at the Springfield Shriners Hospital as staff nurse, charge nurse, inpatient nursing supervisor and for the past five years, practicing in our outpatient department. Rene is committed to a nursing culture of excellence, the value of professionalism, and the collaborative practice of patient-/family-centered care. She is a member of the National Association of Orthopaedic Nurses and the American Nurses Association.
