Dorothy Shulman, M.D.

Dorothy I. Shulman, M.D., is a pediatric endocrinologist at Shriners Healthcare for Children — Florida. Dr. Shulman received her medical degree at the University of Kansas School of Medicine. After completing a residency in pediatrics from Children's Mercy Hospital and a residency from the Minnesota Hospital and Clinic, Dr. Shulman went on to a fellowship in pediatric endocrinology at All Children's Hospital and a fellowship in pediatric diabetes and metabolism from the University of South Florida.

Areas of special interest for Dr. Shulman include osteogenisis imperfecta and improving the care of children with a variety of endocrine disorders, including diabetes, growth, puberty, adrenal, thyroid and polycystic ovarian syndrome.

Dr. Shulman is a member of the American Board of Pediatrics and the American Board of Pediatrics - Endocrinology. She is also currently a member of the Genetics and Newborn Screening Advisory Council for the State of Florida and Governor's Diabetes Advisory Board, and is a member of the sub-board of Pediatric Endocrinology for the American Academy of Pediatrics.
